ADAMSON
BARBECUE

The creation and development of a barbecue restaurant brand over several years.

overview

I worked with the owner and founder of Adamson Barbecue in Toronto for several years. They were preparing to open their first location and wanted to partner with me to create a strong visual brand, which would then be applied to all printed and digital assets.

The owner opened multiple Adamson Barbecue locations, a catering business, and a bakery. I designed the brand identity for each endeavour over multiple years and implemented the branding into website designs, print materials, vehicle wraps, packaging, and more.

bakery expansion

With the success of the barbecue restaurant, the client wanted to open a sister company that would operate out of their existing barbecue restaurants.

The goal for branding was to keep it related to the original brand, but put a sweet twist on it.

I accomplished this by working with the bones of the original logo and then flipping the color palette to a sweeter “berry red” and cream neutrals. The “n” glyph was edited slightly to create more of a bowl shape for the whipped cream to sit in.
